Stock-taking on financial instruments by sector

Questionnaire on the uptake of financial instruments in five sectors

As announced during FI Campus last week, the European Commission is assessing the uptake of financial instruments using the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund in certain sectors during the 2014-2020 programming period. In this context, the European Commission is currently undertaking a stock-taking study on financial instruments in certain sectors.

As part of this study and on behalf of the European Commission, fi-compass sends you this email reminder in order to collect your views on the opportunities and potential barriers in relation to the uptake of financial instruments in the following sectors:

  • Renewable Energy,
  • Urban Development and Transport,
  • Environment, including air, water and waste,
  • Information and Communication Technology infrastructure, and
  • Research Development and Innovation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

As presented during FI Campus, this survey aims to collect as many views as possible from various stakeholders involved in the deployment of financial instruments. In doing so, it aims to collect your perception of continued and anticipated market needs in these five sectors and the implications of these needs in terms of financial instruments. The European Commission is interested in gaining a better understanding of your experience so far and your perception of potential key enabling as well as key hindering factors, which would facilitate or are preventing the wider deployment of financial instruments across these five sectors.

To this end, your organisation is kindly invited to fill in the following questionnaire with as much concrete and detailed information as possible by clicking on the following link:

This survey is accessible until 19 January 2019.

This survey is confidential and will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The answers received will be solely used to inform the study at hand. Your responses will be reported in an aggregated and anonymised way so that the experience of a specific organisation will not be identified in the outputs of the study. We, therefore, encourage you to be as open and frank as possible about your experience to date. This will help define measures to support the development of financial instruments in the above-mentioned sectors.

How to fill in the questionnaire:

  • Most of the questions can be answered quickly by choosing among options or by filling in open fields,
  • The first questions are obligatory and marked by an asterisk (*),
  • Please, do not hesitate to contact fi.study@lu.pwc.com, should you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your feedback,

Best regards,

The fi-compass team
