Second EaSI TA Thematic Seminar in Romania: Product development and distribution channels in rural areas, Bucharest, October 19th

fi-compass is organising a second  EaSI TA thematic seminar in Romania, after a successful event in Deva, Romania, which took place last month and was aimed at credit unions from the country. This upcoming thematic seminar is responding to the needs expressed by both Romanian and other European microfinance institutions (MFIs) operating in rural areas. The event will focus on innovation in product development and distribution channels, including digital methods for MFIs with clients in rural regions.

This event is coming at a time when the rural market in Europe is rapidly changing and MFIs are looking into alternative options to increase their outreach to rural populations. They need new ways to attract, serve and retain more rural clients with the objective to support the development of their income generating activities.

Special guests attending the event will be representatives from Adie France and Patria Credit Romania, who will share their experience and best practice with regards to product development and distribution channels in rural areas in the morning session. The afternoon will centre around a discussion of more specific rural cases and products.

The event is expected to attract around 30 participants, representing MFIs from all over Europe that have interests in the rural economy.
