The annual Microfinance Centre (MFC) Conference is a key international event for microfinance stakeholders and this year the MFC Conference is taking place in Albania. Support from fi-compass EaSI TA will be involved at the event which is taking place in Tirana from 22-24 June.
More than 450 delegates, including microfinance institutions, researchers and policy makers, are expected to attend the 2016 MFC Conference and together this expert gathering will debate key choices facing the microfinance sector.
Support from fi-compass will be focused on:
- A pre-conference workshop titled ‘Credit scoring in microfinance’ during which participants will learn about methods to assess the credit worthiness (credit score) of potential customers (22 June) in the Member States; and
- A panel discussion entitled ‘Alternative financing models for MSMEs in the EU’ which will present the current state of practice in alternative financing models, and will showcase options around different funding models, client sourcing and marketing positioning (24 June)
