Equity financing for SMEs in Greece – EquiFund
EquiFund is an ESIF fund of funds in Greece with an overall volume of EUR 448 million and nine equity financial instruments. Its mission is to provide access to equity financing to companies that are established or have a branch in Greece and to accelerate the development of venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) in Greece. The case study is accompanied by a video case study and interviews providing further insight into the impact of the funds in the country.

A new fi-compass case study has been published that features the ESIF fund of funds EquiFund, set up in Greece by the managing authority of the EPAnEK operational programme. Established with EUR 200 million of ESIF resources and national co-financing, the financial instruments are aiming to mobilise more than EUR 750 million of finance to support SMEs in Greece.
